I am trying to run a DR test.
I am running an app server in a Windows 2016 Hyper-V environment, VM OS is Windows Server 2016, with SQL Standard 2016 (Licensed copy) installed.
I copied the vhdx file to a DR server, which is running Windows 2012 R2 with Hyper-V, created a new DR VM with the same settings of the live VM, attached the vhdx file to the DR VM. Windows was able to start up, however the SQL Server 2016 is not able to start. It gives out error 17051 which is referring to the evaluation period is expired, I tried to go to the SQL Server Setup and go to maintenance mode, and try to do a Edition Upgrade, but I realized that there is no product key for SQL 2016 in the first place.
May I know how can I get the SQL Server in the DR VM running?
