I have been trying to install SQL Server 2017. I keep trying to install and keep getting the error:
The following error has occurred while creating local user account XXXXXX00. Password does not meet policy requirements. I have created a mixed mode environment as the management software I will eventually install that uses SQL Server uses the sa account. The password I created actually does meet the requirements for the sa account.
I have tried disabling domain group policy to disable requirements for complex passwords temporarily but that didnt work.
I have installed, removed and tried to reinstall several times.. Still same error.
The I get wait in the DB recovery handled failed. Check the sql error log for potentials causes.
I am assuming it is because of the password issue... Things like database engine will fail.. of the services will start..
I cant figure out where to look next.
When installation gets to end.. the following show as failed:
data quality service
full text and sym
python
machine learning
database engine service
plus couple others.
I have tried googling but cant really find an answer as what to look at.. that its failing... I have never installed SQL Server before.. so is there maybe just base services i should install??? I selected most things except for polybase and one other.. for install... The server is Server 2012 R2
