Select initial data synchronization preference configuration options during the AG wizard.
Full option states that you need to "perform a full backup and log backup for each selected database. These databases are restored to each secondary and joined to the AG group".
I thought only a full back of a new database was required for each new database? Do we have to do a full backup and a log backup of each database we want to add to the AG before we start the AG wizard? Is this to initialize t logs??
There is also "join only" and "skip initial synchronization" options in this popup where "Full" option is available.
