i did an inplace upgrade from sql server 2008 std edition to Sql server 2008 R2 std edition.the upgrade went successful
My question is why does the upgraded version say RTM ? Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 (RTM).
I still need to do a server restart as it suggested after doing the upgrade. Please let me know if the version i upgraded looks right.
The version of SQL server before upgrade was
Microsoft SQL Server 2008 (SP2) - 10.0.4064.0 (X64) Feb 25 2011 13:56:11 Copyright (c) 1988-2008 Microsoft Corporation Standard Edition (64-bit) on Windows NT 6.1 <X64> (Build 7601: Service Pack 1)
The version of SQL server after upgrade is
Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 (RTM) - 10.50.1600.1 (X64) Apr 2 2010 15:48:46 Copyright (c) Microsoft Corporation Standard Edition (64-bit) on Windows NT 6.1 <X64> (Build 7601: Service Pack 1)
