Had SQL Server 2008 R2 on the machine .... cannot remember the details .... (tried to uninstall 2008 or left it alone) and then installed 2012 Enterprise
Could not get rid of 2008 Native Client .... Uninstalled 2012, just to be able to clean up 2008 components; but could not get rid of the 2008
Gave up, and installed 2012 w/Sp1 this time..... the problem is still there ... the evil sqlncli10.dll
So, my xp_commandshell or BCP calls sqlncli10.dll (2008) instead of sqlncli11.dll (2012)
Can anybody help about not hearing about 2008 anymore and how to get rid of all components. I searched registry adjustments, etc. ... but just did not work.
xp_cmdshell wants to go to SQLNCLI10.DLL
