SQL 2008 Repair fails with can't access file ...\perf-sqlserveragent-sqlagtctr10.1.2531.0.dll

Hi everyone,

I have a issue with trying to run a repair on a 2008 SQL install. The reason for the repair is Service Pack 1 will not install dude to a issue either during the initial install or a repair that has been run before.

The repair seems to run fine, all intial checks pass, its get to about 90% of the install and fails with this warrning

I click cancel which completes the installation and it seems all parts have installed sucesfully from the report

but when i try to install Service Pack 1 i get the message saying you need to fix the errors during the install or repair before you can install Service Pack 1.

Any help with this would be much appreciated!!
