I have a new database server running SQL Server 2008 R2 hosting a new Sharepoint 2013 database. Our SharePoint environment is small and will not see much growth for quite some time. Would it be okay to add another SQL Server instance to host a SCOM 2012 database or would that be overloading the server? It is a VMWare machine so I can throw as much CPU and memory at it as needed.
