I have a sql server 2008 r2 instance that i'm trying to get rid of.. i've removed all components except the Reporting Services.. i originally tried to update this one to sp1 but it kept failing, so i opted to remove it.
Well the setup keeps blowing up part way through the removal of the RS portion, the rest have been removed.
Im seeing 0x1624 for the error code (msi error code).
The product version is the 10.50.1600.1.. installation error status 1624..
Also seeing No system restore sequence number for this installation. Error applying transforms verify that the specified transform paths are valid.

This is a bit of a bummer, because in order to finish a tfs 2012 upgrade on the sql portion, i need to get rid of this sql instance completely (since i couldn't upgrade it to sp1 for some reason).
Any thoughts on how to proceed?
