Server collation

I would like to know as a dba in USA, what collation do you often use to install for SQL server for vendor software applications?

If no specific requirement from vendor side, do you ususally install the default one,
which is SQL collcation - SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AS or use windows collcation: Latin1_General_CI_AS?
