Hello all,
Recently started at a new company and became tasked with installing SQL Server 2008 on a Server 2008 box. First time, it failed every check except three warnings for Previous release of SQL Server, Computer domain controller, & Microsoft .Net application security which was very odd especially since this was a stand alone server. So I requested a re-image and tried again. This time I made sure it was fully patched, joined it to the domain and received the same issues. The OU the server belongs to is blocking inheritance so no group policy settings are applied.
I ran the prerequisite check on another server in the domain and received the same issue. Now I think it has something to do with the image because when running the same check against a Windows 7 box, it passed. I checked the logs but couldn't find anything other than what was already stated in the checker.
Has anyone experience this issue before and advise where to start?
Thank you
