SQL2008 R2 cumulative update 3 not updating version number 64 bit

Hello,

I hope someone can help with this. We installed Cumulative update 3 on 2008 R2 64 bit machine. The install ran through and said completed but when we check the version number it hasn't changed from SP1 10.50.2500. Looking at the log files there are messages that say "cancelled by user" but we didn't do this. If I try and rerun the update I am told it is already installed. When I check the updates installed on the machine in Add/Remove programmes it shows various versions.

I can't see a way to attach the log files here. Please can you let me know how to do that.
