I am working on a project to upgrade our SQL Server 2014 to 2016. My question is after the upgrade the systems files remains on the 2014 data folder and the
data folder for 2016 doesn’t get created, SSMS still opens up as if its 2014 , I can install the latest SSMS but to avoid the version confusion when people launch ssms after the upgrade, can ssms of 2014 be uninstalled so only the latest ssms is available?
