Cannot connect to local instance of the SQL database (2019) when installing Report Server 18.5

Hi,

I have SQl 2019 installed on a Hyper-V VM.  I have all protocols open,  and firewall turned off.  I have instaledl report server  18.5 and am trying to test connection to the SQL server but get the error:

Could not Could not connect to server etc...… :  (Provider: Named Pipes Provider, error 40 - Could not open a connection to SQL Server)

This is all on the same VM.

Any thought anyone?
