We are running Microsoft SQL 2017 Standard in Evaluation mode and the eval will end tomorrow. We have purchased the necessary SQL Server Standard licensing and CALs through our reseller and now have our Open License Agreement. But when I login to our Microsoft Volume License Service Center portal, I cannot locate license keys for our SQL Standard. I can see the ISO download but it says "This product does not require a product key." The download is named SW_DVD9_NTRL_SQL_Svr_Standard_Edtn_2017_64Bit_English_OEM_VL_X21-56945.iso.
For our SQL 2017 Standard setup, I have opened the SQL Server Installation Center and gone to the Maintenance tab, which then ask for the product key. It was my understanding that re-install was not necessary to go from Eval mode to licensed mode. We have updated the Eval server to CU19 but not CU20 yet. I was hoping to get the license activated before proceeding with CU20.
Thanks for any input.
