I would like to upgrade the current environment, my directives is to upgrade with latest technologies without new server and little finance meaning i can only upgrade, please help:
Current: Private Cloud VM (Win12 64bit, 2TB Data,64gb RAM, 4 physical cores with 4 processors each), SQL 2014 Enterprise SMP, DB Engine, SSIS,SSAS,SSAS Tabular,PBI, VS13, Excel2010,Winscp > To be as close to DW modernization to get MDS & more Tabular solutions for cubes.with 0365
1. What are my steps, only need the data tools can i instal VS2019 Community on server or do i have to purchase/upgrade costs?
2. To upgrade from SQL2014 to SQL19/20 enterprise, additional cost or existing license ok?
3. Win12 Upgrade to Windows19, cost to upgrade or existing license ok?
4. Core & Processors with Ram needed?
5. If Win19 & SQL19 not possible, example only Win16 with SQL16 what is needed (i dont like being so far back)
6. Currently Exel2010, with 0365 as part of jobs static pivots gets distributed - do install excel again on server?
7. Also, am i missing anything?
