Hi,
I am trying to get the Upgrade Advisor to analyze a trc file I recorded from a SS2005 SP3 server. However, when I select the trace file to analyze, an exclamation mark appears in the messages box without any text, and doesn't let me proceed.
I have downloaded and installed the Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 Upgrade Advisor.msi (x64) on to a Windows 2008 R2 EE x64 server. This server's only running SQL Server 2008 R2.
I recorded the trace file from a Windows 2003 EE x64 server, running SQL Server 2005 SP3.
I have tried various different trace templates and created my own, but can't get past the warningless warning.
The UA does analyze databases directly.
Anyone have any ideas?
