I have an old system on Server 2003 with SQL 2000 and Everest 4 ERP. I don't have the sa password. I don't know how to reconfigure Everest for the new sa password. If I change the SA password, Everest breaks. I need to move the Everest db to a new server. There is a built-in backup/restore function. However, to restore the backed up DB, it requires sa password.
Thus, the catch is, if I change the sa password, I can't make a backup.
If I leave the sa password (unknown), I can make backups but cannot restore.
My level of SQL experience is... well, I had to google how to reset the SA password...
Any ideas on how to proceed?
