Hello all -
One of our developers installed SQL Server 2017 in evaluation mode for testing. The evaluation period has now expired and they want to flip to SQL Server 2017 Developer edition, since this is NOT for production data.
I launched SQL Server Installation Center, Found "Maintenance", then "Edition Upgrade". You then can select in a drop-down box under "Specify A Free Edition" between the current "Evaluation", "Express" and "Developer" editions. Correct me if I'm wrong but it LOOKS like this wizard can allow you to flip from Free Evaluation to Free Developer licensing.
Is this how I would go about converting their expired Evaluation to Developer? I already contacted Microsoft and they couldn't help.
