Implementing Always Encrypted - SQL Server 2017 Standard

We have installed and configured SQL Server 2017 to support our cost accounting reporting using Logi Studio reports.

SQL Server 2017 is running on a W2K16 virtual machine. Logi Studio (the application server) is running on a separate W2K16 virtual machine. We have gone live in production without turning on Always Encrypted.

Our next and final phase is to implement Always Encryption. While implementing Always Encrypted looks relatively straight forward on the SQL Server, I am having a bit of difficulty understanding what I will need to install so that the Logi reports can query Always Encrypted columns and return plain text.

Can anybody with experience with Always Encrypted offer how they designed their system? Will I have to update each query, view, function, stored procedure that uses Always Encryption? Will I have to install an encryption key or some other software on the reports server?

Any help you can offer, I would very much appreciate.

Thank you in advance for your help.
