I have been receiving this error for too long and too often. I have done everything that has been suggested in blogs, in documentation, and in every imagining.
HELP!
This is not a new problem. The majority of corrective advice are for previous versions of SSMS and few if any for version 17.
If the installation routine knows a component is missing, can't the routine notify the user and offer to fix the issue?
Resolving this is vital now to my small business and it's success as a startup.
