Installing SQL 2016 on Windows Server 2008 Standard Edition

Hi,

MSSQL 2016 Server Standard sys requirements are described as starting from Windows Server 2012 Server:

But reading another article it's said that Windows Server 2008 is ok too:

Is it 100% sure, that I can install it to Windows Server 2008 Standard Edition (I guess it's no difference if the article is only about server core installation) if other requirements like processor type etc are met?
