We moved all our databases to a new server. We had to keep the IP address. On the new server we went throught the steps of renaming the new server as the old.
We had one issue with one of the instances. The Ip address did not get changed on one of the instances. We found the issue in the sql config manager after we fixed this everything was fine.
We are trying to see how this could happen on only one instance
