we are looking to upgrade some of our current estate - we have a 36 core sever and have 32 Enterprise core licenses, we do not really want to buy another 2 x Enterprise licenses.
Our other option is to buy 2016 standard server + cal but I have heard that this cannot be doneon anything that has a greater core count than 16.The server is running a cluster all virtualised. Can anybody give me some idea on the best options, we have around 10 instances of SQL
