This may be a dumb question, but I'm no SQL guy and I did a fair amount of searching without an answer to this.
Got a client who is running SQL 2008 Standard for use with GoldMine, and I'm installing a replacement server. I could just load 2008 on the new server, but it would be nice to at least jump up to 2012. My client doesn't want to drop the RIDICULOUS amount of money for SQL 2012 Standard.
So, can I "upgrade" SQL 2008 Standard database to SQL 2012 Express? (put upgrade in quotes cause downgrading from standard to express, but upgrading from 2008 to 2012)
