Need to modify telephone number in SQL database

I have several (1300+) phone numbers that I would like to modify.

They are currently in the system as (123) 456-7890 1, which is not a valid number.  What I need to do is drop the 1 in (123) and have everything move left one space resulting in (234) 567-8901 to have a valid phone number.
