I'm running MS SQL Express for development purposes.
I tried to upgrade to SP2 within Windows upgrade. The process failed, issuing error code 84BC7358. The links provided by Microsoft to resolve this error fail. The meaning of this error code seems to be "Something is wrong".
I shut down my antivirus, repeated the upgrade and experienced the same result.
I downloaded and ran KB2958429. It failed with error code 29528.
Tracking both error codes through the web page labyrinth is frustrating and a waste of time. Nothing is on point.

Might anyone have any insight into the root cause of this problem and what the corrective action might be?
