Need to copy 40 dbs to a new server, best way?

I have a production SQL2008R2 server and I'm setting up a new one for load balancing. If it was just a few, I'd do a backup/restore, but for this many I'd like to do something more efficient. I need to copy 40 dbs and, if possible, permissions and associated objects over to my new server.

Recommendations? I'm obviously no DBA. No-downtime for the existing server is required. I haven't used the Copy Database Wizard, does that seem like what I'm looking for?http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms188664.aspx
