SQL Server Installation - All Features

Hi,

I'm literally fighting with one of my colleague. He is installing all features that are available during the installation and also configuring with defaults. For example, Reporting Services with Default configuration & SSRS with Sharepoint integration, Distributed Replay, Analysis Services, Integrating Services, Replication etc etc.... He is litereally selecting every checkbox that is available on the features selection screen and installing them with defaults. I'm fed up with the argument and finally approaching you.

There is no such requirement from the client. Application owner wants us to install only SQL Server and host their databases, that's it.

How can I convince him that installing all features is not a good idea? Can I really convince him?
