Product Key for an installed instance

Hi,

How can I obtain the product key for an installed version of SQL Server 2008 Developer?

It is not listed under 'My Product Keys' on MSDN and 'No product key is required' is displayed next to the download itself

The Powershell script offered here http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/0cb2286a-7d0c-49ad-8248-aa4a0e381e52/finding-sql-server-2008-product-key-from-an-installed-instance?forum=sqlgetstarted
returns a product key but I get a 'The SQL Server product key is not valid...' error

My reason is that I'm running SharePoint 2010 enterprise on my Win7 64bit laptop and am trying to install SSRS2012 to run in SharePoint integrated mode. I've encountered problems - seems I need to run like for like database engines (enterprise - enterprise). Therefore I'm trying to upgrade hence my need for the product key - unless there's a work-around for what I'm doing?

Thanks
