I am upgrading a named instance of SQL Server Express 2005 SP4 to Express 2012 using the setup files extracted from SQLEXPR_x86_ENU.exe. I am using a command line to do this as follows:
SETUP /Q /ACTION=UPGRADE /IACCEPTSQLSERVERLICENSETERMS /UpdateEnabled=0 /INDICATEPROGRESS /INSTANCENAME=MUNISOFT
The upgrade fails with the following error:
"The directory property cannot be found in the cache."
Any help would be appreciated,
John
