I am trying to install a software program that uses SQL2005, SQL 2008, or SQL Express. When I try to install the software, and it tries to install SQL, it successfully installs the following components "SQL Server Native Client", "SQL Server Setup Support Files", "and SQL VSS Writer". When it gets to the "MSXML6" component, it fails and I get a message that says "SQL cannot install on this computer". So, I uninstalled all of the successfully installed components and did so, so that I could try again. I noticed that "MSXML6 Serv Pk 2" installed. I tried to both remove it and change it and I got a fatal error message. I also tried installing SQL independently, without using the software that I was trying to install that uses SQL, and got similar messages.
