SQL Server 2014 versions, which one?

We are currently building a server that will eventually host a reporting/data warehouse and have the chance to install SQL Server 2014 to do this but are unsure of which version would be most appropriate.

Some background, we currently serve customers around the world with a our OLTP systems and our databases are SQL Server 2008 DB's sitting on a SQL Server 2008 R2 Enterprise install. Internally we use reporting services and generate a fair number of queries against our current DW, also a SQL Server 2008 DB running on a SQL Server 2008 R2 install. We also use SSIS extensively for some tasks and use BIDS a lot as well.

We do not use SSAS, yet, and there is a very real chance that we could end up making some reports available to our user base in the future. We also do not use SharePoint for anything other than an over glorified file sharing system.

So my question is this, would it be wise to simply install SQL Server 2014 Standard instead of the enterprise edition? As I said, we currently use the enterprise edition of SQL Server 2008 R2, which makes me lean towards staying with the enterprise edition of 2014, but what would be the downside to using Standard?

I realize there is documentation on this and I am going over it, but I'm hoping for some advice here.

Thanks for any input.
