There is always a message regarding upgrading the ssrs project when opening what I presume is a 2008 SSRS project in what I presume is 2008R2 BIDS/VS. (It's very hard to understand the versions of the rdl file and what it wants to upgrade to, so I'm
assuming here) But we don't want to upgrade - the production server is running 2008 reports. So I want SQL 2008 BIDS/VS on my machine to open the 2008 report project and not be prompted to upgrade. Is this possible? Seems to be a hullava headache.
Running sql server 2008 feature install the flag for BIDS is already selected (and grayed out). So what do I run or install in order to open a 2008 report project on my machine with 2008R2 BIDS/VS already installed? Any solid help appreciated.
