Install Error for SQL Server 2012 on Windows 2008 R2 SP 1, Standard

I am attempting to install SQL Server 2012 SP 1, 64 bit, on Windows 2008 R2 SP1 virtual machine.  This is a nonclustered server, named SQL instance.  I'm getting the following for several Features including the DB Engine. Its the same error for each Feature.

  Status:                        Failed: see logs for details
  Reason for failure:            An error occurred for a dependency of the feature causing the setup process for the feature to fail.
  Next Step:                     Use the following information to resolve the error, and then try the setup process again.

I can't find anything for this specific error.
