Hi,
We are migrating SQL Server 2000 standard instance to a new machine which has SQL Server 2008 R2 SP2 standard edition.
We have run the upgrade advisor and didn't find any issues (there are small issues and we have solved) .We have taken backup of databases from legacy machine and restored to the new 2008 R2 instance. We have changed the compatability level to 100.
We didn't face any issues up to now.
Does that mean my upgrade is successful and we don't need to make any code changes? There is some code which is referencing some .exe outside. If we take those .EXE s into this machine and put in the same path as in the code , we are successful?
Please give some steps we need to do furthur to ensure smooth upgrade.
