been looking around through sql 2012 books online, blogs, technet forums & a couple of SQL 2012 books, but cant find this information.
Basically after a best practices around layout/architecture/installation of SQL with Reporting Services and Analysis Services & Data Warehousing.
I wanted to see things like:
- recommended processor/memory configurations for SQL and also for features like Reporting/Analysis/Warehouse
- storage recommedations
- recommendations on whether to co-locate services like Reporting/Analysis/Warehouse on the same server as production DBs and when not to
I've been burrowing into an Exchange 2010 installation and all of this kind of stuff is wonderfully well documented (obviously in part because it's a much older product)
anyone can point me to any of this stuff?
