Hi,
We had SQL Server 2012 with Product key running on a server that was flooded and is now completely gone.
It was in this version: Microsoft SQL Server 2012 (SP1) - 11.0.3000.0 (X64) - Standard Edition (64-bit) on Windows NT 6.1 <X64> (Build 7601: Service Pack 1) (Hypervisor)
We've purchased a new server and I've downloaded from Microsoft site the SQL Server 2012 again, and configured it as free addition at first. I've restored the backup and everything is working perfectly. The only problem is that now that I try to put the old product key that we had on the old server, on the new SQL Server 2012 it doesn't let me...
It is giving me that message:
The new SQL Server 2012 version that I've downloaded from Microsoft site is:
Microsoft SQL Server 2012 (SP1) - 11.0.3128.0 (X64) - Enterprise Evaluation Edition (64-bit) on Windows NT 6.1 <X64> (Build 7601: Service Pack 1) (Hypervisor)
Did I make a mistake and should have downloaded a standard version instead? If so, can you direct me to the link I can download it from? If not, Can you suggest what should I do?
