Failed Installation: Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 RTM - Express with Management Tools – “Attempted to perform an unauthorized operation”

I have attempted to install the software: Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 RTM - Express with Management Tools on a laptop on an Admin account, but keep getting the following error messages:

The details of the laptop I'm trying to install it on are as follows:

• Windows 7 Home Premium Service Pack 1
• HP Pavilion g6 Notebook PC
• 64-bit OS

I've tried uninstalling it then reinstalling it but no luck. I've tried creating a new Admin account to install it there, but no luck. I’ve installed all the latest updates but no luck. I've tried the solutions mentioned in these links:
