I am trying to create a windows 7 image using sysprep. The problem I have run into is that I have software installed on the machine which relies on IIS 7.5 and SQL Server 2008 R2 express. Is there a way to run sysprep /generalize but still maintain my
systems settings for IIS and Sql Server so when I apply the image my software actually runs?
Basically I need new SID's generated and sysprep seems to be the only way to do this...but then it hoses much of my system. I feel there has to be a way to get around this.
