I recently installed SQL Server R2 and it seems to have uninstalled my SSMSE 2008 edition and replaced it with SSMSE 2008 R2 edition. It appears to connect to my 2008 server just fine, however I'm concerned there might be some issues with this in the future.
Has anyone worked like this before? Are there any major concerns with connecting to and working on a SQL Server 2008 production server from SSMSE 2008 R2? Are they the same program with different packaging?
