DPM2012 Missing mssqlsystemresource.ldf and .mdf

Last night I went to shut down my DPM2012 server for some good old Windows updates. When it came back up, the DPM administrator console would not open because of error 948. This error was caused because the DPM service wasn't running and it wasn't running because the SQLServerAgent(2012) wasn't started. First place I looked was the event viewer logs.

Sure enough, there were several relating to SQLServerAgent errors.

1.MSSQL$MSDPM2012 17204 stating "FCB::Open failed: Could not open file C:\Program Files\Microsoft DPM\SQL\MSSQL10_50.MSDPM2012\MSSQL\Binn\mssqlsystemresource.mdf for file number 1. OS error: 2(The system cannot find the file specified.)." and also

2.MSSQL$MSDPM2012 17207 stating "FileMgr::StartLogFiles: Operating system error 2(The system cannot find the file specified.) occurred while creating or opening file 'C:\Program Files\Microsoft DPM\SQL\MSSQL10_50.MSDPM2012\MSSQL\Binn\mssqlsystemresource.ldf'. Diagnose and correct the operating system error, and retry the operation."

Now I went back and these errors were happening before the windows updates even though the DPM console was working fine. It was only after shutting it down and trying to bring it back up that it failed. I opened SQL Server Management Studio to see if the database was in DBRecovery mode and it was not. The Database is perfectly fine as far as I can tell and I ran a backup on it just to make sure I had it but it seems to just be missing the two .mdf and .ldf files from the errors.

I'm not complete SQL savvy so I wasn't sure if these were unqiue to this database or if I could pull them from another DPM installation. The worst part is that I was about three days from setting up my secondary DPM server but as of now I have now DPM server backup. I have not tried uninstalling and reinstalling DPM nor have I tried to restore the DPMDB from the backup I just made. I am willing to try either option.

Any and all help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
