I have Active/passive cluster with 8 cores processor on each node. In our DR network, I have a similar active/passive cluster with same number of processor cores. We do SRDF replication of production disks to DR server. DR server will be brought online only during DR tests or in case of issues with production servers. At any given point, SQL Server will be active only one one node .
Given this situation, should I have to buy license only for 8 cores ?? Please suggest if it is wrong.
