Hello All,
I have been trying since this morning to install SQL Server 2008 in my Machine. It has Windows 7 installed in it. Earlier it was working fine, yesterday i had some issue with my machine as affected by viruses and i had to format my machine. Today morning freshly formatted the machine and installed Windows 7.
After installing the OS and tried to install SQL Server 2008, but the installation never last long for 1 minute. It stops abruptly after the prerequisites check (rules check). IT is passing all six rules and not continuing the installation further. See the following screen for the error
The installation closes automatically after the following step,
I am unable to proceed the installation further and could not find the reason why the error is thrown every time.
Please suggest and help me solve this issue
