Our company has installation folders on a network drive. These are not properly labelled. My goal was to install SQL Server 2008 R2 Standard. However, I ended up first installing SQL Server 2008 Standard, then SQL Server 2008 R2 Developer,
then SQL Server 2008 R2 Standard. This was unsuccessful, I believe, because of the confusion between editions. Other users in our company will, I fear, end up making the same mistake. Both SQL Server 2008 R2 Developer and Standard have the
same version number 10.50.1600.1 However, how can users tell if it's developer or standard Before installation?
